Welcome to Troop 641! We are a 2018 Journey to Excellence Gold Award Unit!

Welcome to the Troop 641 Web site.  Troop 641 is reborn out of a proud heritage from Walker Chapel United Methodist Church where it was founded over 80 years ago.  The troop was re-formed after a thirty-five year hiatus through the dramatic expansion of Scouting in North Arlington.  We are a Scout-led troop that values most of all fun activities and the ability to grow, but also combines mentorship from the leaders, moral development of our Scouts, service to our community, and pride in achievement and development.  All appropriately aged boys are welcome to join the Troop, and parents are expected to be active supporters of Troop activities.  If you are a member, please log in.  If not, please use the Contact Us link to find out more information or request access to the Web site to learn about our Troop and consider joining.

Troop 641 has won the Olmsted Honor Oar as Best Troop in Camp at Goshen three times in the past five years!

Details on Resuming Regular Troop Activities

Posted on Apr 28 2019 - 12:22am

The Troop Committee and uniformed adult leaders have put into place the steps necessary for the Troop to resume normal activities.

This will start with a special PLC on Sunday, April 28th.  During this PLC, Scout Leaders will have the opportunity to provide input into a new Code of Conduct and Guide to Safe Camping that the adult leadership has put together.  These two documents will clarify the rules and expectations for all Scouts during Troop activities.  The PLC will also be given a preview of a new youth protection training that the Troop will be doing for the Scouts.

And a big thank you to Todd Zubler for coordinating this with Walker Chapel!
